چکیده

The paper presents a model for the torsional dynamics of an automotive driveline equipped with Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), focusing on gear rattle phenomenon arising during transients engagement and disengagement clutches, synchronizing manoeuvres. This vibro-acoustic phenomenon, particularly annoying in transmissions, can be accentuated by presence many unloaded gears this type gearbox. systems are today largely diffused car automatic permitting fast shifts avoiding interruption drive torque. study is conducted adopting tribo-dynamic lumped parameters, considering oil lubricant between teeth acting as damper impacts. A layout gearbox six speed ratios has been assumed, which dual clutch system transmits torque alternatively various pairs odd even branches. results numerical simulations show that kind transmission characterised hard rattling behaviour, rapid phases clutches engaging/disengaging synchronisation. Some solutions to attenuate vibrations, therefore behaviour DCT gearbox, analysed proposed determine, example, time duration shift phase or pre-selection next gear, well identify optimal lubrication conditions transients.

Driveline modeling and estimation of individual clutch torque during gear shifts for dual clutch transmission

The purpose of the proposed work centers on the unprecedented task of accurately estimating the torque transmitted through each clutch of the dual clutch transmission. This is to possibly improve the clutch control performance during vehicle launch and gearshifts and to elongate the clutch life. Such goal is attained by only using the measurements and data that are already available in current ...

Dynamic analysis of automotive clutch dampers

The torsional dynamic characteristics of an automotive clutch are simulated by ®ve lumped parameter linear or nonlinear models. Each nonlinear model includes visco-elastic and dry friction elements. Dynamic sti€ness and energy dissipation spectra clearly show excitation amplitude and frequency dependent behavior. Also, dynamic hysteresis curves are predicted and analyzed. The proposed models co...

Clutch-to-clutch Shift Control of an Automatic Transmission with Proportional Pressure Control Valves

For a new kind of automatic transmissions using proportional pressure valves to control the clutches directly, a two-degree-of-freedom controller is designed for clutch slip control during the inertia phase of the shift process. The controller is designed based on a low order linear model which is derived from dynamics of the proportional pressure control valve and the vehicle drive line. The f...

Shift control of Dual Clutch Transmission using Triple-Step nonlinear method

The shift control, especially clutch slip control in inertia phase, is considered as a key issue of dual clutch transmission for improving driving comfort. For the shift is a complex nonlinear dynamic process combining engine states and road information, and these are often variable, so the clutch control system can be described as a nonlinear parameter-varying model. Moreover, a novel nonlinea...

Analysis of Dynamic Characteristics of Clutch-to-Clutch Shifting Control of an Automatic Transmission

The fact that requirements for shift quality in automatic transmissions have been increasing rapidly necessitates the establishment of a suitable shifting control strategy in order to facilitate smoothness of different processes. For this very purpose, this paper introduces a simulation model of an 8-speed automatic transmission for front-drive vehicles with respect to detailed shifting strateg...
